These terms apply to everything you order from Firm of the Future in our shop, and to the work we do for you. We have kept them as short and readable as we could.

1. Who we are

VAT number: NL857656016B01

2. What these terms cover

They apply to every offer we make and every agreement that follows from it: an order in the shop, a book, a game or an xperience, and consultancy work too. If we agree something different, we put it in writing; the rest of these terms still applies.

3. Prices and offers

All prices in the shop are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are listed separately and you see them before you pay. An offer stands as long as it is on the site and stock lasts.

If an obvious mistake puts the wrong price on a product, we are not obliged to deliver at that price. We will contact you and you can cancel free of charge.

4. Ordering and the agreement

The agreement is made once you place your order and we confirm it by email. That confirmation goes to the address you enter at checkout, with an invoice attached. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder and otherwise get in touch.

5. Payment

Orders in the shop are paid up front through our payment provider Mollie: iDEAL, credit card and the other methods you see at checkout. We process your order as soon as the payment reaches us.

For consultancy work, unless we agree otherwise, invoices are due within 14 days.

6. Shipping and delivery

We ship within the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Shipping costs € 4.95 per order, and is free from € 100. An order containing only digital editions has no shipping cost, and needs no address.

We send your order as quickly as we can, and in any case within 30 days of receiving your payment. If that turns out not to be possible, we will tell you and you may cancel free of charge; you then get your money back within 14 days.

Digital editions arrive right after payment: the download link is in the confirmation email and stays valid for 30 days.

7. Cooling-off period and returns

You have 14 days to change your mind, counted from the day you received your order. Within that period you may cancel the purchase without giving a reason.

How it works:

  • Tell us within 14 days that you are cancelling, at info@firmofthefuture.nl. An email is enough.
  • Then return the product within 14 days, either by post or by dropping it off at our address in Oosterbeek. Both are fine.
  • The cost of returning it is yours.
  • Handle the product with care while you are still deciding: you may examine it as you would in a shop. If more than that has happened to it, we may charge for the loss in value.
  • Within 14 days of receiving your notice we refund you, including the shipping you paid on the order. We may wait until the product is back with us.

8. Digital editions: no cooling-off period once you download

For e-books and other digital editions your right to cancel ends the moment the download starts. The checkout asks for your explicit consent to this; without that consent the digital product cannot be supplied.

9. What you may do with our work

Our books, games, models and dashboards are our work, and the rights to them stay with us. A digital edition is for you: read it, print it, keep it - but do not distribute, resell or publish it. Would you like to use something in a course, a presentation or across your organisation? Just ask - there is usually more room than you would think.

10. Warranty and complaints

You are entitled to a product that is sound and does what you may reasonably expect. If something is wrong - damaged on arrival, not what you ordered, or a file that will not open - let us know within two months of discovering it. Email info@firmofthefuture.nl; we reply within five working days and will find a solution with you.

If we cannot work it out together, consumers may take a complaint to the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Consultancy work

A quotation is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. We carry out assignments to the best of our knowledge and ability; this is a commitment of effort, not a guaranteed outcome. What we make for you is for use within your own organisation.

If an assignment has to be cancelled, we charge for what we have done up to that point. For planned days cancelled within two weeks of the agreed date, we may charge half the day rate.

12. Liability

We work carefully. If something does go wrong and we are liable for it, our liability is limited to the amount invoiced for that delivery or assignment. We are not liable for consequential loss - lost revenue, lost data, savings not realised. That limit does not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part.

13. Your data

What we do with your data is set out in our privacy statement. For an order we process no more than we need to deliver and invoice it.

14. Governing law

Dutch law applies to these terms and to everything we agree. Disputes go to the competent court in the Gelderland district, unless the law designates another court.

15. Changes

We may amend these terms. For an order, the terms as published on the site at the time of ordering apply.
